OpenStack Summit Tokyo 2015

Video recording and production done by OpenStack Foundation.

The HPC community is exploring OpenStack as a way to accelerate research access to compute, accelerating the pace of innovation, and raising the rate of utilization of rare resources. This session will cover key challenges and the work happening inside the Ubuntu community to address it. Join this session with the teams leading some of the world's largest multi-national science projects for their first-hand account of implementing HPC services in OpenStack with Canonical. With examples ranging from the Biomedical HPC Cloud at Cambridge University to the Square Kilometer Array, the world’s largest radio telescope, these mega projects will test the limits of infrastructure, demanding 1000s of VMs, 100s of petabytes of storage and terabits of data transfer per second.
