This session is about using Jenkins, AWS and Docker to run your own PaaS and move from DevOps to NoOps. The goal of NoOps is to improve the process of deploying applications while reducing the time to market - all without sacrificing quality. At Choose Digital, the developers own the complete process, from writing code through production deployment. This is enabled by a simple combination of GitHub, Jenkins, Docker and AWS Elastic Beanstalk. After our Platform as a Service (PaaS) provider left the market, we successfully replicated our own PaaS-like environment using Jenkins and a plugin that we wrote to enable blue/green deployments with AWS Elastic Beanstalk. These changes allowed us to continue our normal deployment flows without having to change our development processes.
