Docker is an open source LXC-based container service that was released in March 2013. It makes it easy to create lightweight, portable, and self-sufficient containers. Containers which you can use to test applications, build and run services or even to build your own platform-as-a-service. Learn why Docker matters, how to get started with it and see some cool examples of Docker in action. This talk will explain: Why Docker? Installing Docker Getting started with Docker Demo some cool Docker use cases It’ll also discuss the right places to use Docker and try to answer some of the questions around using Docker with other tools like Puppet and Chef.
